In recent performances, Nikki took part in the Basically British 5 Concert (part of the Old First Concert Series). It was an exciting evening of recital repertoire with with a wonderful turnout. Nikki and rising Countertenor, Gerald Thompson, performed the duet, Sound the Trumpet by Purcell with the Benjamin Britten arrangment to bring the evening to a festive start. Later in the program Nikki performed the Dominick Argento Six Elizabethan Songs . Other highlights of the evening included Joshua Bloom performing a series by Gerald Finzi, To a Poet, and the full ensemble performing the Gypsy Songs (Zigeunerlieder) by Brahms, with tenor Brain Frutiger to complete the quartet. Lending the perfect touch - both via introduction and accompaniment, was San Francisco Opera's Head of Music Staff, John Parr.
